The IKA A11 Basic Analytical Mill is a versatile batch mill designed for two different grinding procedures. It features impact grinding for hard, brittle, or non-elastic materials using a high-grade stainless steel beater, suitable for materials with a Mohs hardness up to 6. It also supports cutting grinding for pulverizing soft, fibrous materials with an optional cutting blade. The mill can pulverize moist and gluey materials by adding water and includes an 80 ml Tefcel (PTFE, glass fiber-reinforced) grinding chamber with a stainless steel inlet, with an optional 250 ml chamber available. Capable of cooling the mill feed with dry ice or liquid nitrogen, it operates at a maximum speed of 28,000 rpm with a circumferential speed of 53 m/s. The compact design measures 85 x 240 x 85 mm and weighs 1.5 kg, making it suitable for laboratory environments with temperatures from 5 to 40 °C and humidity up to 80%. The A11 Basic Analytical Mill offers precise and efficient grinding with a motor rating input of 160 W and output of 100 W, ensuring reliable performance for various grinding applications.
